01 Ancient Wisdom
From one market stall
Ancient Wisdom began in Sheffield in 1995 with essential oils, an oil burner and a small market stall. What started locally grew into an established aromatherapy, fragrance and giftware business serving retailers across the UK and Europe.
Its roots remain closely tied to aromatherapy. Ancient Wisdom says Lavender Essential Oil was its first product, with the range later expanding into fragrance, incense, candles, bath and body care, crystals, home fragrance and other ritual-led objects.
The company combines its Sheffield operation with international sourcing and production relationships. Many aromatherapy, bath and home-fragrance ranges are made, developed, blended, filled or packed through its Sheffield facilities, while other collections are sourced through artisan and manufacturing partners in countries including India, Indonesia, Nepal and China.
02 Stamford London
Indian craft, British direction
Stamford London brings traditional Indian incense-making together with contemporary British fragrance development, design and distribution.
Its incense is traditionally made in Karnataka, India, where dipped and hand-rolled sticks draw on established incense-making techniques. Product development, design, warehousing, logistics and distribution are managed through the company’s UK operation.
Across its collections, Stamford works with familiar fragrance profiles alongside contemporary blends. The range spans hand-dipped and hand-rolled incense sticks as well as aroma oils, with packaging designed for modern retail while retaining the product’s Indian provenance.
03 Banjara
Resin in its elemental form
Banjara enters the Zelyth edit through traditional botanical resins: tactile, aromatic materials intended for a slower incense ritual.
Our current selection focuses on Frankincense and Myrrh — two resinous profiles chosen for the atmosphere they bring to meditation, scent and space.
Rather than extending the maker story beyond what is represented in our collection, this edit keeps the focus on the material itself and the ritual it supports.
