Right of Withdrawal

Last updated · 02 October 2026 · 21:48

As a consumer purchasing online from Zelyth, you generally have a legal right to change your mind and withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason.

This page explains when the right of withdrawal applies, how to exercise it, how and when products must be returned, and how reimbursement is handled.

Zelyth is a brand operated by YTS Commerce, established in Belgium. This Right of Withdrawal is based on the mandatory consumer protection rules applicable to distance contracts.

Your right to withdraw

If you are a consumer and purchase an eligible product from Zelyth online, you generally have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 calendar days without giving a reason.

Exercising this right means that you inform us within the applicable withdrawal period that you no longer wish to remain bound by the eligible purchase.

You do not need to justify your decision.

This statutory right is separate from cancellation of an order before fulfilment and from your rights where a product is defective, damaged or otherwise non-conforming.

When the 14-day period begins

For a purchase of goods, the withdrawal period generally expires 14 calendar days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, physically receive the goods.

Where several goods are ordered in one order and delivered separately, the withdrawal period generally begins after receipt of the last eligible item.

Where a single product consists of multiple lots or pieces delivered separately, the period generally begins after receipt of the last lot or piece.

Different rules may apply to particular types of contracts where required by law.

How to exercise your right of withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform Zelyth of your decision before the applicable withdrawal period expires.

Our preferred method is the dedicated online Withdrawal Form available on zelyth.com. This provides the simplest way to submit the required information, identify the relevant order and receive confirmation that your withdrawal request has been received.

Alternatively, you may submit an unambiguous withdrawal request through our official Contact Form.

You may also exercise your right of withdrawal by email. If you choose to withdraw by email, we ask you to attach or include the completed Model Withdrawal Form provided below, or provide an equivalent unambiguous statement containing the information reasonably necessary to identify your order and the products concerned.

Whichever valid method you use, your communication must clearly indicate that you wish to withdraw from the relevant purchase.

You do not need to provide a reason for exercising your statutory right of withdrawal.

Online Withdrawal Form

Zelyth provides a dedicated online Withdrawal Form for eligible distance purchases.

We recommend using this form whenever possible because it allows us to identify and process your withdrawal request efficiently.

The online Withdrawal Form may request information such as:

  • your name;
  • your order number;
  • the email address associated with the order;
  • the product or products concerned; and
  • confirmation that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal.

After submitting the online Withdrawal Form, you will receive an electronic confirmation that your withdrawal declaration has been received.

Using the dedicated Withdrawal Form is our preferred method, but it does not prevent you from exercising your right through another legally valid and unambiguous method.

Withdrawal through the Contact Form

If you do not use the dedicated Withdrawal Form, you may submit your withdrawal through the official Contact Form available on zelyth.com.

Your message must clearly state that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal and should contain sufficient information for us to identify the relevant order and products.

We recommend including your name, order number, order email address and the product or products concerned.

You do not need to explain why you are withdrawing from the purchase.

Withdrawal by email

You may also communicate your withdrawal by email to the official Zelyth customer service email address.

If you choose this method, we ask you to complete and include the Model Withdrawal Form provided on this page or provide an equivalent written statement that clearly communicates your decision to withdraw and contains the information reasonably necessary to identify the relevant order and products.

Your email should therefore include, as applicable:

  • your full name;
  • your order number;
  • the email address associated with the order;
  • the product or products from which you wish to withdraw; and
  • a clear statement that you are exercising your right of withdrawal.

The Model Withdrawal Form is provided to make this process easier and avoid missing information. A legally valid withdrawal is not made invalid solely because you used another unambiguous written statement instead of our model form.

Returning the products

After notifying us that you are exercising your right of withdrawal, you must return the relevant goods without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after the day on which you communicated your withdrawal to us.

The return deadline is met if you send the goods back before that 14-day return period expires.

Please follow the return instructions provided by Zelyth after your withdrawal request has been received.

Do not automatically return products to the registered office of YTS Commerce.

Minister Delbekelaan 54, 2170 Merksem, Belgium is our registered business address and is not our standard product returns address.

The appropriate return destination may depend on the product and fulfilment arrangement. We will provide or confirm the applicable return instructions where necessary.

Return shipping costs

If you exercise the statutory right of withdrawal simply because you have changed your mind, the direct cost of returning the goods is generally your responsibility.

The return cost will depend on factors such as the parcel, destination and return method selected.

This rule does not mean that you are responsible for costs that the law requires Zelyth to bear, including where a different remedy applies because goods are defective, damaged, incorrect or otherwise non-conforming.

Please contact us before returning a product if you believe there is a defect, delivery error, transport damage or lack of conformity rather than a simple change of mind.

Condition of returned products

During the withdrawal period, you may inspect and handle a product to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, similar to the way you could reasonably examine a product in a physical shop.

You should handle products with appropriate care while deciding whether to keep them.

You may be responsible for a reduction in value resulting from handling that goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, where applicable under the law.

Opening ordinary transport packaging does not by itself remove the statutory right of withdrawal. However, particular statutory exceptions may apply to certain sealed products as explained below.

Original packaging

Where reasonably possible, we recommend returning products with their original product packaging, accessories and included materials.

The absence of ordinary original packaging does not automatically eliminate a statutory right of withdrawal where such a right exists.

However, unnecessary damage, incomplete returns or handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the product may result in a reduction in value for which you may be responsible where permitted by law.

Refund following withdrawal

Where you validly exercise your right of withdrawal, we will reimburse the payments that must legally be reimbursed, including the applicable standard outbound delivery cost where required.

Reimbursement will be made without undue delay and, in principle, no later than 14 calendar days after the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw.

For contracts involving the sale of goods, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you provide evidence that you have sent the goods back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.

Reimbursement will normally be made using the same means of payment used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree to another method, provided that this does not result in additional fees for you.

Original delivery costs

Where required by law, a valid withdrawal includes reimbursement of the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the relevant purchase.

If you expressly chose a more expensive delivery method than the least expensive standard delivery option offered by Zelyth, such as an upgraded or express delivery service, we are not required to reimburse the additional cost resulting from that choice.

The direct cost of sending the withdrawn goods back to us remains your responsibility where stated above and where permitted by law.

Partial withdrawal

If an order contains multiple products, you may exercise your right of withdrawal in relation to only some eligible products rather than the entire order.

In that situation, the reimbursement will be calculated in accordance with the products concerned and the delivery costs that must legally be reimbursed in the circumstances.

A partial withdrawal does not automatically entitle you to reimbursement of the entire original delivery charge where that delivery charge would also have been payable for the products you keep.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply in certain circumstances defined by law.

Depending on the products or services offered by Zelyth, relevant exceptions may include:

  • goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised;
  • goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
  • sealed goods that are not suitable for return for genuine health protection or hygiene reasons and that have been unsealed after delivery;
  • goods which, after delivery, are by their nature inseparably mixed with other items; and
  • other products, content or services for which applicable law expressly excludes the right of withdrawal.

An exception will only be relied upon where its legal requirements are actually satisfied. The fact that Zelyth would prefer not to accept a return does not itself create an exception to the statutory right of withdrawal.

Essential oils, incense and similar products

Zelyth may sell essential oils, incense, aromatic products, botanical products and other goods for which condition, packaging or use may be relevant when assessing a return.

These product categories are not automatically excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal merely because of their nature.

A statutory exception may apply to an individual product only where the requirements of the applicable exception are actually met, for example where a genuinely health- or hygiene-sensitive product was supplied sealed and is no longer suitable for return after that seal has been broken.

Where no statutory exception applies, the normal withdrawal rules continue to apply.

Use, consumption, burning or other handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect a product may affect the product’s value and may therefore have consequences for the amount reimbursed where permitted by law.

Crystals and naturally variable products

Crystals, minerals and other natural materials may display variations in colour, shape, pattern, markings, texture, dimensions or other natural characteristics.

These natural variations do not remove your statutory right of withdrawal where that right otherwise applies.

They should also not be confused with a defect solely because an individual natural product is not visually identical to a representative product photograph.

Where a natural product is genuinely damaged, defective or materially inconsistent with its description, your legal rights relating to conformity remain separate from the right of withdrawal.

Damaged, incorrect or non-conforming products

The right of withdrawal is not the same as your rights where a product is defective, damaged, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to the purchase agreement.

If you believe there is a problem with the product itself, please contact Customer Care rather than simply returning it as an ordinary change-of-mind withdrawal.

We may request photographs or other information reasonably necessary to investigate the issue.

Exercising or not exercising the right of withdrawal does not remove mandatory rights you may have under the applicable legal guarantee or other consumer protection law.

Orders already in transit

If you submit a withdrawal after an order has already been dispatched, please do not assume that refusing delivery is always sufficient to complete the withdrawal procedure.

You should communicate your decision to withdraw clearly through the Withdrawal Form, Contact Form, email or another legally valid method so that your request can be identified and processed correctly.

We will then provide or confirm the appropriate return procedure where necessary.

Business purchases

The statutory consumer right of withdrawal described on this page applies to eligible purchases made by consumers.

A person purchasing predominantly for professional or business purposes does not automatically benefit from the same consumer withdrawal right merely because the order was placed through zelyth.com.

Separate arrangements may apply to business, wholesale or individually negotiated commercial orders.

Model Withdrawal Form

If you choose to communicate your withdrawal by email, we recommend using the following Model Withdrawal Form so that we receive the information necessary to identify and process your request correctly.
